ATTENTION: Prior to scheduling an appointment for rent or utility assistance, please make sure you have access to the following required documents:

  • Proof of at least one year of Temple residency

  • Eviction notice with date (if applicable)

  • State issued ID for each person in the household over 18 years of age

  • Proof of income:

    • 3 months of check stubs, copies of paychecks, or a letter from your current employer

    • Court ordered child support

    • Award letter for any government assistance (TANF, Food Stamps, SSI, SSDI, SS, Veteran Benefits, Pension, Unemployment)

    • 6 months of detailed bank statements - both checking and savings

  • Complete Lease Agreement - must be current and not expired; must list each person responsible for the lease and all current occupants; must include the monthly rent amount

  • Utility Bill - if asking for this assistance, the account must be in your name

  • If you are unemployed, you must be registered with The Texas Workforce Commission, Express Personnel or some other temp agency.

Documentation can be brought to the Resource Office located at 613 S. 3rd Street between the hours of 9am to 1pm Monday through Friday.
