The Café

The Café is the culmination of how Feed My Sheep started, and is still the doorway for everything else that we do here.

For those experiencing physical hunger, it’s difficult to think clearly, be involved in community, listen to someone share the Gospel, have your mental and emotional needs met, care about participating in other activities, or to make and work toward goals for the future.

The Café is not only feeding people physically, but paving the way for them to be fed spiritually and emotionally also.

The Café’s mission is to ensure that those in need have access to free, nutritious meals in a safe and clean environment. We serve lunch 7 days a week, a hot breakfast on Saturdays, and coffee and donuts for breakfast the other 6 days a week. We are currently serving meals to about 150 to 175 people per day. Those who come for lunch have the option for either a hot meal or a sack lunch.

The Café is a great place to volunteer individually, as a family, or as a larger group. With many different tasks to choose from, it is child and senior-friendly, and no experience required. As a volunteer in the café, your day may involve sorting and organizing donated food items, roasting coffee beans, helping cook and prepare meals, serving meals, packing and handing out sack lunches, greeting and signing people in, selling items at our store front, and cleaning. It's a hands-on experience that allows you to directly witness the impact of your efforts.

If you have questions about The Café or how you can get involved, please email our Café Manager, Cindy, at cafe@feedmysheeptemple.org.
